Deborah Rosen


Deborah Rosen is a Certified Dog Trainer and Animal Behavior Consultant. She is a member of the APDT (Association for Pet Dog Trainers) and a certified AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluator. She was certified in June, 2002 through the Training Academy at the San Francisco SPCA. Deborah was also certified, (again through the SFSPCA) in the treatment of dog-to-dog aggression and has studied with Jean Donaldson, Director of the Training Academy for the SFSPCA and author of the well-known books, The Culture Clash, Mine and Fight.

Deborah has raised dogs for over 35 years, started training them as a hobby and began training professionally in 2001. Currently, she has two rescue dogs, a Cattle Dog mix named Dolce, and a Poodle mix, named Justice.

Deborah is also well known in the Puget Sound for her articles on the topic of dog training and canine behavior. George Rothe

George Rothe has been raising, training and socializing dogs since 1992. He is a member of the APDT (Association for Pet Dog Trainers.) George began training professionally in 2012 and is a fourth generation positive trainer. He trained with Deborah Rosen, who studied with Jean Donaldson, who followed Dr. Ian Dunbar. Currently, George has a two year-old King Charles Cavalier and Cocker Spaniel mix, named Charlie.


George is based in Putnam, NY and will travel to both Westchester and Putnam counties. He possesses a combination of well-honed communication skills along with a great sense of humor. His dog and human students look forward to their training sessions (and love the results). His services currently include private, in-home training to address basic obedience and to resolve behavior problems. George will design a customized program for each client.
