Advanced Puppy Class
6 - 18 months (CGC Certification Class)
This class is designed for older puppies between 6 and 18 months with an intermediate level of training experience and skill. This challenging 6-week class focuses on basic obedience and will end with the CGC (Canine Good Citizen) certification test. There will be still be plenty of on and off-leash socializing and supervised playtime with the other puppies and their owners, but we will spend much more time working in this class building a more reliable "recall" from a distance and with distractions.
We will pay a great deal of attention to helping the puppies "generalize" all of their skills and make sure you have success with the skills that are most important. We will also do extensive and more advanced attention and focus exercises with planned distractions. This class will spend much more attention on basic obedience achieve a reliable "sit" and "down stay" with other dogs in the room. Distractions in class will make training at home much easier.
We will also spend time in public places working on "meeting and greeting" the public and walking politely (without pulling or jumping) while on leash.
Rates
Puppies must be current on all vaccinations to attend.
$175 per group of 6, 1-hour sessions (Discounts given to shelter dogs, seniors and disabled adults)
